Hi. I have been running a small decorating company for a long while and usually generate revenue in the £10,000s each month. I've just been approached by a client and they want to offer a large project, more than all the work I get from all my clients at the moment but they only want to put a deposit to start and pay the rest on completion. As I usually deal with smaller clients I usually receive all or the majority of the payment upfront.
Hi, I am new to importing so would like some advice on whether or not I should be buying my equipment internationally and what I should be looking out for. At the start of the year we was set to fit out our new facilities. It’s just a shell at the moment. We got some quotes on fitting new equipment throughout the premises, supply and installation. Due to the current situations we had to put a hold on the fit out so did not proceed with any of the quotes.
I have been practicing architecture for 20 years. I started straight out of high school, First I got a degree and now I have a license. I have my own business that mainly performs commercial renovations, takes control of abandoned buildings and prepares them for small businesses. Refurbishment is my passion from school, for sustainability reasons and I love the people I work with. What about you?
It has not been possible to connect your call. Hi I am using a VOIP server to receive business calls. However I keep getting errors when calling such as it has not been possible to connect your call, even though the number works fine on my personal phone. Is it a problem with my VOIP, maybe their software is having problems. Can anyone advise if they have a business number and do they use VOIP? Thanks

I graduated from an (unaccredited) architecture school and got a job designing multi-family residences. It is not "high design" or anything, very simple and repeated designs just for profit. I don't care, I never wanted to start doing something too fancy, but I have a lot more passion for single-family homes. Although as much as I love the high-end single-family, I don't think I'm ready for that without more experience, and I've really always wanted to work on the typical houses you'll see in a suburban neighborhood.
Hi. I run a small property surveying company. We had an application developed in-house to help when carrying out the surveys. Some of our clients have contacted us about licensing/buying the app so they can edit the surveys we send to them. I am UK registered, the app has been developed in English, however I believe some of the companies have staff throughout Europe who will likely be using the software. What are the regs on selling/licensing the application.

Have you ever used a career or personal coach, how was the experience? Do you feel it was worth it, how did it help you? I am deciding where I need to go now and what my best career path is. Will a career coach help to get me in the right direction, what can I expect? I had a career advisor at school, not sure if it's the same sort of thing. When I was in final year and deciding on what to do after school everybody in my year had a 1-to-1 with an advisor for 20-30 minutes.

Will we ever see a point in time when more people are working from home? Given the circumstances its difficult to see a point where as many people will be working from home as they are currently. There’s plenty of sources saying working that they are impressed by the results and found working from home more beneficial than previously thought. I’ve seen on Linkedin managers saying how they will likely encourage working from home and most are looking to incorporate a 2/3 day split where 2 or 3 days will be in the office and 2 or days will be working from home.
